The Mighty Yachtie

The Mighty Yachtie is a calypsonian who writes music in the old calypso style of yesteryear. I am also a one-man band and play all the instruments you hear on the CDs. My wife, Susanne, sometimes accompanies me with the background chorus to provide a dynamic effect.

My music is full of rhythm and interesting lyrics. A lot of my calypsos are written on the cruising lifestyle but some relay a message that can be applied to anyone of any lifestyle. Many of my songs are derived from actual events that are true although in some cases, I have applied a little artistic license in order to add a little humor.
